One study, completed in 2006, evaluated the benefits of whey protein concentrate added to the diet of patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis. The study showed small, but significant affects of supplementing the diet with Le-Pro Plus, a functional whey protein produced by Leprino Foods.
